Business systems for ITAR

The systems that make your FFL or defense business work

Constaris sets up and maintains the systems your company runs on, from ERP and team chat to file storage, with ITAR compliance built in from the first day. Firearms and defense are all we do.

Integrations

We connect your systems to the tools FFL and defense teams already run.

Pure industry

Firearms and defense. Nothing else.

Constaris takes no mandates outside the FFL and defense space. Every system we build runs a business that answers to the same regulators, under the same export rules.

That focus means every system we touch starts with ITAR already in the plan, from who can open a drawing to how records are kept. We set your systems up, then stay on to keep them that way.

Where we work

Back to work in the Arsenal of Democracy

Constaris is based in Ecorse, Michigan, just downriver from Detroit. During World War II, Detroit's factories turned to war production at a scale that earned the region the name Arsenal of Democracy.

We are bringing that effort back for today's firearms and defense makers, starting with the systems that keep their operations running.

How we work

From first setup to every year after

01

Set up

We implement and configure each system with ITAR controls built in from the first day, not added after go-live.

02

Maintain

We keep your systems compliant as your users, products, suppliers and the rules around them change.

03

Support

Your team gets direct help from people who only work with firearms and defense businesses.

Who we serve

Built only for the firearms and defense community

  • Firearms manufacturers

Licensed makers running production under an FFL.

  • Importers and distributors

Licensees moving regulated products through the supply chain.

  • Defense contractors

Companies handling ITAR-controlled articles and technical data.

  • Defense suppliers

Subcontractors and component makers serving defense programs.

ITAR in your systems

What ITAR asks of your systems

The International Traffic in Arms Regulations control who can access defense articles and the technical data behind them. Your ERP, your team chat and your shared files all hold that data, so how they are set up and maintained matters.

  • Who can see the data

Sharing ITAR-controlled technical data with a foreign person counts as an export, even inside your own building. User roles in every system have to reflect that.

  • Where the data lives

Where the system, its backups and its support staff sit decides who could reach controlled data. Hosting is a compliance choice, not only an IT one.

  • What the records show

ITAR registrants must keep records of their regulated activity for five years. Your systems hold many of them, so they have to stay complete and easy to retrieve.
